We are very keen to hear your views to make sure our services meet the needs of our residents and that you have the opportunity to have your say
We regularly run surveys, consultations and engagement to gain insight into community needs, helping us design services and policies that genuinely reflect local priorities. We engage with you in several ways to ensure effective community consultation, including:
- during consultations on local plans or policies, we may seek input from you, asking specific questions to gather your views
- holding meetings and forums where representatives from Parish Councils can discuss local issues, share feedback, and work together on community projects
- establishing working groups that include members from both North Yorkshire Council and yourselves to work on specific initiatives or address particular concerns
- distributing consultation documents and surveys to gather input from yourselves, which can then be used to inform our decision-making process
- providing training sessions and resources to help you build your capacity to engage with your communities effectively
- using a wide range of communication tools to support ongoing dialogue and ensure that information is easily accessible to all
These methods help ensure that the voices of local communities are heard and considered in our decision-making process.
